Woody: The New Modern Kitchen

There is something so earthy and natural about a wooden kitchen that engorges me with happiness and comfort.  I love wood.  Not that kind of wood, but this kind, shown here in these updated versions of classic wooden kitchens.  I love everything about this room.  I spend a large quantity of time in the kitchen, so ideally, I'd like for it to be as inviting and comfortable as possible.  Kinda reminds me of something Frank Lloyd Wright would approve of.

The Big Bang Theory: Fatboy...Come Here, Are You Ticklish?

Zounds!  For me, this is like, the discovery of the wheel.  According to this post from The Salon, heavier men are better lovers.  I've known this for quite sometime, apparently.  I've always had a favortism for portly men.  Plainly put, I loves me a fat dude.  Nice and girthy, pleasantly plump, buddha belly.  And I have no qualms about sharing that fact. People ask, "You mean, like, a football player build?".  Nope.  I like a retired football player build.  Not sloppy, not nasty, but a well-kempt sturdiness is very appreciated.  Yum yum, pretty darn sexy.   Me love you long time.  Owww.

en·am·ored

en·am·ored

–verb (used with object)
1. to fill or inflame with love: to be enamored of a certain lady; a brilliant woman with whom he became enamored.
tr.v. en·am·ored , en·am·or·ing , en·am·ors

To inspire with love; captivate: was enamored of the beautiful dancer; were enamored with the charming island.
------------------------------------------

I came across this word today and it reminded me of a former love. Life is funny that way. Memories flood. Conversations of the past. This word was once used to illustrate a former lover's feelings for me. I always felt the usage of the word was very strong; after many, many times of hearing it, I equated the strength of the word to the strength of his love. Funny...

His muse.
My muse.
Peas.
Carrots.
None of which hold meaning at this point in time.

Friendship turned to love turned to an indescribable, consuming, sentiment of defeat. We lost. I lost. He lost.

Decoy love. Fallacy. Untruth. Fabrication.

It is easy to forget what was said. Some things, I will never forget. I will never forget the declaration to love endlessly. I will never forget the promise to always be honest and fair no matter the circumstance. I will never forget the promise to be in each other lives forever. I will never forget that he said, one day, he would make an honest woman out of me. I will never forget the day he said he was impatient for the day to see me as a 'cute little old lady'.

I will never forget that he chose to not choose me.

Un•en•am•ored.

art.jazz.life: Louis Armstrong's Fancy Kitchen

Stumbled into this article on The Kitchn today, and I fell in love with this piece.  Its jazz.  Its art.  Its epicurious.  Its Louis Armstrong's 1960's kitchen that has been preserved as part of the Louis Armstrong House Museum in Corona, NY.  All the doors on the glossy blue custom cabinets are mounted on piano hinges - snazzy!  See the slideshow here.

The Stuff: Cheyenne Burger

This is what summer is made of. Usually I don't do BBQ sauce alongside cheese, however THIS looks phenomenal and at some point during the summer, THIS will be on my agenda. Chef Bobby Flay's Cheyenne Burger is all sorts of yummy fatgirl goodness. Its a turkey burger, stacked with bacon, onion shoestrings (sweet Vidalias!), BBQ sauce and sharp cheddar.
This is the reason I loves to cook. Bon Appetit!

Eat, Pray, Love...

I read the book Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert last year and I have to say that it might've changed my life a little. I read this book at a time where I was seeking guidance in multiple areas of life (and, I still am lol), and I felt like the author's journey was easily indentifiable. Despite some of the mumbo jumbo and spiritual jargon, I found the book quite enlightening. I am pleased to find out they are making a movie for it...starring Julia Roberts. Whoa.

Jagged Little Pill

So, this is kinda sickening to me. Seriously a "STFU, OMG" situation. This is modern "fashion" at its worst...no, your eyes are not deceiving you...yes, that is a pill masquerading as jewelry. This little dandy piece of nothingness comes vicodin, oxycontin, or percocet pendants. Cast of Vices, the maker of this monstrosity, should be stoned. Whoever buys this, should be stoned.

Air Macaron

This is probably the best combination of my worlds that I have ever seen. First off, its hightops...Nike...two dope colors that I'd actually rock. Pretty sweet. Secondly, its a cookie. Even sweeter. I'm all lusty inside. This is a shoe lover and food lover's dream. Coined the Nike Air Royalty, these delights, unfortunately, will be sold in Paris only (sigh).

Lightbulb...

I think I finally understand why people like Twitter so much...it can be entertaining at times...but, not ALL day. That part, I still don't get. Some people literally LIVE to log on to Twitter every single day and wait for comments to appear in their timeline...no can do. But I think I finally see "the light". Had some good clean fun tweeting and DM'ing today. Pow.

Like Magic

This is thee best tea in the world for skincare. If you're into herbals like myself, you will enjoy the benefits of this tea. I have been using this tea since I saw it on the stands at Whole Foods on January 1st and I have had great, fabulous skin ever since (not that I didn't before, lol, but with winter rearing his ugly head, I'm prone to dry patches). Please buy this if you love yourself.
